Saucony’s newest trail shoe, the Peregrine RFG, launching as part of their “Run For Good” Campaign on Earth Day, April 22, 2024.
The Peregrine RFG features Saucony’s technology innovations in sustainability–including a sugar cane based foam, eliminating cushion that comes from plastic.
The Run for Good campaign was created with the mission to prove that sustainable products don’t need to sacrifice performance. The RFG standard is Saucony’s baseline measurement indicating when a product meets their sustainability goals. For footwear that means:
- Upper: at least 75% organic, recycled, or renewable materials
- Sole & Midsole: at least 50% organic, recycled or renewable materials
- PWRRUN BIO+ cushioning is 30% sugar cane ethanol-based foam that limits dependence on plastic and offers supreme comfort you feel even better about
- Responsibly sourced mesh is structured for debris protection you need
