Spyderco, known for their signature thumb hole and unique ergonomic designs that define their products, has released an all-new lineup of premium knives for 2025.

Pulling from their own heritage, these all-new products exemplify the brand’s influence from sports cars and convertibles. As their name implies, these knives showcase the impact iconic vehicles have on their design and ingenuity, such as the Porsche Spyder and Maserati Tipo 61 (also known as the Maserati Birdcage).

In the upcoming product line, there are a few standouts that I expect to be huge hits in the market – Let’s get into the details.

Spyderco’s All-New CPM 15V Knives
Prevalent in this new premium line, Spyderco has found the perfect blend of performance, simplicity, and longevity – introducing seven new knives that feature their CPM (Crucible Particle Metallurgy) 15V blade steel.

CPM 15V refers to the blade’s material, containing almost 15% vanadium, a unique alloy composition that boasts exceptional wear resistance and edge retention. Made in the U.S.A., these special edition knives are further enhanced by a specialized heat-treating protocol developed by acclaimed custom knifemaker Shawn Houston.

Blade material in this category ranges from CPM MagnaCut to LC200N, both ideal for edge retention, toughness, and corrosion resistance. Here are my top two picks from the new additions to the Salt Series.

Native Chief Lightweight Salt LC200N

Spyderco_NativeChief

Flexing Their Engineering Muscle

Edgerati Black Blade

Spyderco_Edgerati

Continuing to break new ground, Spyderco isn’t afraid to experiment with cutting-edge ideas. The all-new Edgerati is an engineering innovation with its design inspiration from the Maserati Tipo 61.

Taking cues from the birdcage construction of the Maserati from the late 1950s, the knife features a hard-anodized aluminum construction, offering exceptional durability while being lightweight at a total of just 3.3oz. Its double distal taper design gradually thins from the base to the point, and paired with a straight spine, allows for balance and precision in a slimmed down package.

MSRP: $350.00

Specs:

  • Overall Length 8.22” (209mm)
  • Blade Length 3.57” (91mm)

In collaboration with Italian knife manufacturer lionSTEEL, this exclusive Spyderco knife is an ode to the classic lean folder category. Featuring Böhler-Uddeholm’s M390 particle metallurgy stainless steel blade material with the brand’s signature fully-accessible round hole, and a titanium and carbon fiber handle, what’s not to love? Durable, refined, and unmistakably Spyderco — it defines a bold statement carry.
